Amsterdam

This weekend we went to Amsterdam and met my mom and grandma. It was WONDERFUL to see some family and Amsterdam was fun. We got into Amsterdam on Saturday morning and explored the city and visited the Van Gogh museum. Amsterdam was interesting due to the prostitution and legal drugs, bought in "Coffee Shops" - definitely a party town. It was fun for us to see and it was quite a different experience for us. On Sunday my mom and grandma arrived in Amsterdam, so we spent all our time with them and did some catching up on a canal tour of the city and gave them a tour of the infamous Red Light District. On Monday we went to the Anne Frank museum, which is the house she and her family hid in during the Nazi occupation of WWII. We got to go into their secret Annex and see all of their things that were left behind. It was a very interesting and sad tour. We then walked back to my mom and grandma's Rhine River cruise ship and saw them off. It was a great weekend. Here are some of our pictures.
